Ashwagandha, also known as Indian Ginseng or Withania Somnifera, is one of the most important plant in Ayurveda (traditional system of medicine from India). Its properties are known for centuries but the progress of science confirmed some of them. I will talk about its effects on stress, muscle growth, strength, sleep and general health. That being said, let me introduce you to the ancient benefits of this plant.

My name is Vlad George Rӑdulescu and I am currently in the 4 th year of medicine at "Carol Davila”University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. My fitness journey started out of curiosity and because I wanted to live a healthier life. After a short period I started applying the information I was learning at my university in my fitness routine. Reading lots of scientific studies regarding the fitness niche I observed that few people use science to optimize their workouts and diets or even just to improve their life. That motivated me to become a member of EBT and to try and raise awarness in the general population about science-based training.
