We are regularly inundated with information on the best strategies to lose weight. In combination with the confusion and overwhelming amount of information and misinformation out there, free time is few and far between. Focus on these 5 strategies - supported by research - to lose weight in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Kurt Rawlins

While attending Illinois State University, Kurt Rawlins managed to play drums in a touring band while getting his degree in Physical Education. After college, he began personal training in 2005 in a small studio in his hometown of normal, Illinois. Once he moved to Chicago in 2006, he knew he had come to a place where he could live his dream of running a fitness business. A reformed party-animal, Kurt is a passionate fitness entrepreneur, speaker, writer and coach. Although he is certified to train high-level athletes, he prefers to train busy professionals between the ages of 25-50. He started Kurt Rawlins Fitness LLC in June 2009, and specializes in 30 minute semi-private training sessions. Currently, KRF is located within HiFi Fitness in River North. Kurt has held certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine as well as the International Society of Sports Nutrition. He is currently a Certified strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
